What the Walmart flyer is good for
Walmart Canada’s stores sell groceries alongside general merchandise, in every province.
Walmart’s flyer mixes groceries with everything else it sells. Compare its grocery prices with the grocers near you before you shop.
Discount banner: where the savings are
A discount flyer puts its biggest cuts on the front page to bring you into the store. The rest of the store is where the banner earns its margin, so a cart filled on impulse can wipe out what the front page saved.
Buy the front-page items and plan the week around them. Deal Dish suggests recipes priced with what is on sale at your store, and adding a recipe puts what you need on your list.
Walmart coverage by province
Store locations come from Walmart’s own store data.
A sample of the Walmart stores in the app
Deal Dish prices each store separately, because the same banner can run different features in different markets. These are real Walmart locations you can pick as your store.

Walmart flyer questions
When does the new Walmart flyer come out?
The new Walmart flyer goes live on Thursday and runs for a week, through the following Wednesday. Deal Dish loads the new prices every Thursday, so recipe costs and list prices match the current flyer.
How many Walmart stores does Deal Dish cover?
395 Walmart locations across 10 provinces, with the largest concentration in Ontario (145 stores). You pick your stores in the app, and every deal, recipe cost and list price is that store's price.
Is Deal Dish free for Walmart shoppers?
Yes. Deals, price comparison, recipes, meal planning, the shopping list and the barcode scanner are free, with weekly limits that reset each Thursday. Deal Dish Pro ($3.99/month or $34.99/year CAD) removes the limits and lets you add deals from any store, which helps if you shop more than one banner.
Can I compare Walmart prices against other stores?
Yes, on the free plan. Search any item in Deal Dish to see its price at Walmart and the other stores near you, cheapest first, across the 35 Canadian grocery banners Deal Dish covers.
Does Deal Dish show the actual Walmart flyer?
Not the full flyer pages. Deal Dish lists Walmart's deals in sections (Biggest price drops, In this week's flyer, Buy more, save more, then aisle by aisle), with the regular price beside the sale price. Recipes are built from what is on sale that week.
