We built one of these apps. Here is how to read that.

Comparison pages written by a vendor are usually worthless, because they are built to make one product look inevitable. These are written differently: every comparison names specific things the other app does better, and several of them recommend running two apps rather than switching.

The genuinely honest summary is narrow. Deal Dish is grocery-only, iPhone-only today, and does not show you the flyer as printed. What it does better than anything else in the Canadian market is close the loop from a weekly deal to a meal plan to an aisle-sorted list to a unit price in the aisle. If that loop is the part you find hard, it is the right app. If you mainly want to browse flyers, it is not.
